Let’s talk about what’s happening in Nicobar Island. The GOI is planning to start a mega infrastructure project on the island, which will eventually lead to mass deforestation, destruction of flora & fauna and it’ll create problems for the indigenous population. #SaveNicobar
We conducted a cleanliness and mass plantation drive in North Delhi, thanks to the support of @BeingVip1. From now on these plants would be under the care of Vrikshit volunteers!!!
Around 30 vrikshit volunteers and some other people from two other NGOs recently conducted a drive and cleaned the Yamuna Ghat at kalindi kunj, Noida. We cleaned and accumulated around 150-200 kgs of garbages.
Our volunteers from Varanasi conducted a Ganga cleanliness drive near Balua Shastri Ghat, the primary objective of the drive was to collect litter caused by ritualistic and spiritualistic activities. The energetic and willing youth of Varanasi cleaned 100 metres of the ghat.
It’s a long established fact that no governmental initiative can be a success without the help of general public, so play your part for the country, and cut down the use of single use plastic from your day to day life. Always remember, change begins at home.
