Let me post a few questions on the #DishaRavi thingy.
1. A Government appointed lawyer lost his case. What is the penalty?
2. What defines a conspiracy? Guilty by Association or Caught with Hand in the Cookie Jar?
3. The case of nobody with no background and history is argued by one of the highest charging lawyers in India. Was that considered as a factor?
What is #21Years you may ask (BBC says her age is 22 and NYT says it is 23). Think of this one who died at 23 - a soldier dragging four of the Kungfu bats and throwing them into the river, slipping and breaking his neck, tying his turban to broken neck and killing 8 more before going down - that is Sepoy Gurtej Singh at Galwan Valley. He joined Army at 20 years of age.
One lesson India didn’t learn from #pulwamaattack is, India’s problems are India’s problems. Even though the Western Beggarly Neighbour is a State Sponsor of Terror, the world will give it another chance yet again. Unless India acts for Indians and that too aggressively, make no mistake, no one will toe India’s line.
This is my personal curated list of articles - articles which I felt are interesting to read. No theme, no timeframe - just that they piqued my interest.
