The Ministry was set up in 1999 after the bifurcation of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment with the objective of providing more focused approach on the integrated socio-economic development of the underprivileged sections of the Indian Society, in a coordinated and planned manner. The Ministry of Tribal Affairs is functioning under the overall guidance of the Union Minister Shri Arjun Munda ji. Shri Bishweshwar Tudu ji and Smt. Renuka Singh Saruta ji are assisting him as Minister of State. The programmes and schemes of the Ministry are intended to support and supplement, through financial assistance, the efforts of other Central Ministries, the State Governments and voluntary organizations, and to fill critical gaps taking into account the situation of underprivileged sections.
This initiative taken by NESTS motivated students to choose their career options with clarity along with their interests in nurturing this country through their talent. In the future, NESTS will be providing more such Workshops for the welfare of EMRS students.
The Online Workshop was successfully conducted under the guidance of Shri Amit Sahu, IES, Dy. Commissioner, and other Senior Officers of NESTS along with the mentorship of various eminent guest speakers from various fields like Commerce, Engineering, Law, Medical, Economics etc. NESTS_emrs organized an Online Workshop on Career Counseling for EMRS students from Grades 9th to 12th.
