The Federal Executive Council yesterday approved NNPC’s request to fix 21 federal roads covering 1,804.6km across the 6 geo-political zones at N621.237bn.
NNPC will be deploying tax resources with the payment spreads over a period of about 3 years, as this is under the provision of Executive Order 07 of 2019.
“We introduced policies that supported investments in agriculture and food processing. We provided loans and technical support to small holder farmers, through the Anchor Borrowers Program. As a result, Nigeria today has over 40 rice mills from less than 10 in 2014. Nigeria also has over 46 active fertiliser blending plants from less than 5 in 2014.”- PMB today at the FII Summit, Saudi Arabia.
While stating that the new FG’s medium-term National Development Plan would help drive the diversification of our economy, build human capital and improve governance&security, President Buhari today at the 27th Nigerian Economic Summit, also assured that the new plan would foster broad-based and inclusive GDP growth in order to create 21m jobs and lift 35m people out of poverty by 2025.
“The objectives of the new medium-term National Development Plan are to diversify the economy, invest in critical infrastructure, build human capital and improve governance&security.
The intention is to achieve broad-based GDP growth in order to create 21m jobs & lift 35m people out of poverty by 2025. This is consistent with FG’s vision of lifting 100m Nigerians out of poverty in a decade.”- PMB
President Muhammadu Buhari today launched the Emblem Appeal for the 2022 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, an annual event to appreciate the gallantry, sacrifices and accomplishments of veterans of the first and second world wars, peace support operations and internal security operations in Nigeria, at the State House, Abuja.
’’The exploits of our Armed Forces to maintain peace as well as their disposition to the unity of Nigeria have contributed in no small measure to our stability. We must therefore celebrate them as the pride of our country. Our faith in our Armed Forces remains unshaken and as a government we will do all within our powers to ensure that our Armed Forces are motivated to perform optimally.”- PMB
